Authenticator

I have often been consulted in cases of questioned documents (e.g., the Jack the Ripper diary), photographs (such as one allegedly of Emily Dickenson), and other artifacts (like a "Jefferson Davis" rifle). These and others are featured in my combined textbook and casebook, Real or Fake: Studies in Authentication (University Press of Kentucky, 2009).
