Cereologist

I am a skeptical cereologist (after Ceres, the Roman goddess of vegetation). Cereologists study the crop-circle phenomenon -- some attributing them to wind vortices or even extraterrestrials, whereas skeptics conclude they are the work of hoaxers. Shown here (with Silbury Hill in the background) I investigate an English "pictogram" in 1994. Shown also is a crop circle I made with colleagues (Kevin Christopher and Ben Radford, posing with their "stalk stompers") in a field of oats in upstate New York.
