Private Investigator

From mid-1973 to mid-1975, I worked as a private investigator for a world-famous detective agency (whose name I am not supposed to use for publicity purposes -- does it start with a P? And did it pursue the Jesse James Gang? I can't say). I was twice promoted, reaching the company's second-highest investigative rank in under two years.

On general assignments, I conducted background investigations, fixed and moving surveillances, bodyguarding and other work. Mostly, I did undercover jobs, including stints as a shipper/receiver (as shown in the 1973 photo on the right, in which place I became a member of a theft ring). I was also a forklift driver, mail clerk, Steelworker -- even lens polisher (at an optics lab believed to be missing gold) and Tavern Waiter.
