Anti-War Activist
Opposed to the Vietnam War, I was active in the anti-war movement. The first photo shows me staffing an anti-war table in the University of Kentucky student center ca. 1966. I also participated in several demonstrations both before and during my exile in Canada (shown in the second photo at the U.S. Consulate in Toronto). I was teargassed at the famous March on the Pentagon in 1967, as described in Norman Mailer's Armies of the Night. (See also Federal Fugitive and War Resister.)
