Detectivologist

An Internet search shows sporadic use of the word detectivology (the study of all things detective), and I have coined, by extension, detectivologist. Examples of my work in this field (in addition to my forensic textbooks like Crime Science, 1999) would be analysis of Poe's detective story, "The Mystery of Marie Rogêt," ("Historical Whodunit: Spiritualists, Poe, and the Real Marie Rogêt," Skeptical Inquirer 34:4, July/August 2010, 45-49), and more importantly my etymological article "Detective: Uncovering the Mysteries of a Word" (Skeptical Inquirer 37:6, November/December 2013, 14-17).
