Doctor of Philosophy
In 1979 I returned to the University of Kentucky, where I had obtained my Bachelor of Arts degree in 1967, to pursue advanced degrees. I obtained my Master of Arts degree in English in 1982, followed by my doctorate in 1987. My dissertation was titled, Literary Investigation: Texts, Sources, and "Factual" Substructs of Literature and Interpretation. (See Literary Detective.)
