Food Server
On occasion I have helped serve food at an event, for instance, as a volunteer at a Yukon Visitors Association conference in Dawson City in April 1976. As I noted in my journal, I did this "by loading up with platters of barbequed steaks and dealing them out. Once, to get some pleading appetites cured, I ordered a bunch of 'mediums'-then: 'Medium rare? Yes Sir. Medium? Another medium. Medium well? Yes'm.' No complaints. In fact the satisfaction expressed with the dinner was said to have been extremely high. . . ." (See also Tavern Waiter and Camp Cook.)
